Santa Cruz is the main fruit-producing region in Bolivia. Fruit flies are pests that cause considerable economic losses in the region’s fruit production sector. This article presents the results of a research project that studied the biodiversity of parasitoids associated with fruit flies in the municipalities of Porongo and La Guardia, as an alternative for the biological control of this pest.
