ORSAG C., Vladimir; LEON P., Lucy; PACOSACA Y., Olga y CASTRO R., Edwin. Evaluating soil fertility for sustainable quinua production. Tinkazos [online]. 2013, vol.16, n.33, pp.89-112. ISSN 1990-7451.
The demand for quinua in the global market has increased in recent years. This has led to an expansion in the amount of land planted with the crop and a process of deterioration in natural resources. There is now an imminent danger of desertification. This article shares the results of a study that assessed changes in soil fertility in the area near the salt flats, with a view to promoting sustainable quinua production in three communities in Oruro.
Palabras clave : soil degradation; soil fertility; agricultural land; mineralization; soil nutrients; sustainable quinua production.
