Abstract

PRICE, Marie D.. Bolivian entrepreneurs in a global city: the case of Washington. Tinkazos [online]. 2013, vol.16, n.33, pp.69-88. ISSN 1990-7451.

This study examines Hispanic entrepreneurship in the context of global city formation, focusing on the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and the business activities of Bolivian immigrants. The author highlights the socioeconomic characteristics of the Bolivian entrepreneurs, the spatial pattern of their places of business, and the strategies that the group uses. This group is distinguished by a higher level of education, income and self-employment.
