Abstract

The Leco indigenous communities of Apolo have found that harvesting the resin used in incense represents an opportunity not just to market this resource and achieve certain economic goals, but also to develop forest management and conservation plans for their territory. This article presents the main results of a study that concluded by proposing regulations for the sustainable use and harvesting of incense, based on the information obtained during the field work
