Abstract

PEREIRA MORATO, René. The census and population policies for development and productive change. Tinkazos [online]. 2012, vol.15, n.32, pp.75-87. ISSN 1990-7451.

The results of the 2012 census will make it possible to gauge the current status of human resources in Bolivia. New indicators will be obtained on poverty, the demographic structure, the rural population exodus and the growth in the urban population. In this article, the author shows that the country will improve if planning and decision-making on territorial, sectoral, national and local development takes up and makes efficient use of the census data
