Resumen
ROMERO F, Javier R. Coloniality and festive dynamics: Legitimisation of modernity/coloniality in the Oruro carnaval. Tinkazos [online]. 2012, vol.15, n.31, pp.137-156. ISSN 1990-7451.
The article shows three modes of approach to the festive dynamics of Oruro and its fiesta/ritual: its demonization, and its consideration as merchandise and patrimony. These are explained from the very beginnings of colonial domination in the Andes and its later display in the republican era, with particular emphasis on the 20th century. It also attempts to provide evidence of how some of the carnivals festival/ritual practices have been transformed and their epistemic content lost
