Abstract

Intrahepatic cholestasis is the most common liver disease of pregnancy. It occurs predominantly in the third trimester, its incidence is between 0,2% and 2% and varies depending on geographical location, ethnic group, maternal age, gestations, previous history of hepatitis C, biliary diseases, environmental and genetic factors. We present a female patient of 26 years, with a pregnancy of 25 weeks of gestation, which manifests pruritus of 14 days of evolution originating in palms and plants, which is generalized;concomitantly presents abdominal pain in upper right quadrant of 4 days of evolution, mild intensity and colic character. Laboratory tests report: aspartate aminotransferase: 53 U/L, alanine aminotransaminase:84 U/L, confirming diagnosis.
