Abstract

The vertebral hemangiomas are vascular tumors that occur most frequently during the fourth and sixth decades of life, with more frequent level thoracolumbar spine location. The majority are asymptomatic and present as incidental findings on imaging studies; however, in this case study symptomatic vertebral hemangioma located in T7 is reported, paraparesis and erectile dysfunction were the main symptoms. Treatment consisted of transthoracic surgical approach with posterior decompression of the vertebral body and insertion of bone graft and plate "Z" to complete the vertebral support.
