Abstract

The main objective is to describe the evolution of the incidence in preventable diseases by vaccination and the coverage of them in Bolivia by every region called department. It's a descriptive study of temporal trends of vaccination coverage and the incidence of preventable diseases by department. Both were made based on secondary sources. The incidences were calculated based on the information from the system of epidemiological surveillance of the National Health System and the population registered in each department. Vaccination coverage was calculated according to the information of the administered vaccine doses available in the National Institute of Statistics and the registered target population. Resulting Data is variable and in many cases non-existent.With the available information the distribution of diseases as well as vaccination coverage is very heterogeneous in Bolivia. It must be strengthen the monitoring system to achieve better data and carry out specific plans in each department to attack diseases that produce greater burden of disease.
