The congenital cardiopaties, heart anomalies or predisposition to the same problems present since birth, are very frequent anomalies related generally to infections that can have an unfavorable evolution, that's why the present study looks for to know the prevalence of congenital cardiopatías and association to infections in the Manuel Ascencio Villarroel hospital since June 2008 until june 2009, for it we used clinical histories of 1723 patients in pediatrics in the hospital. The results were, a prevalence of congenital cardiopatías of 1,2% (20 of 1723 patients), 70% of which were associated to infections, conditions of high alive is 95%, and the maternal age in 70% corresponded to older than 35 years.
