Abstract

OLARTE QUIROZ, Karina. Readings in times of pandemic Communication, confinements and sociocultural transformations. Punto Cero [online]. 2020, vol.25, n.41, pp.31-39. ISSN 1815-0276.

The context of the COVID-19 Pandemic changed the world and the way of living in this world. The Regional Forum organized by ABOIC and supported by the CPCS from Tarija was developed in a relationship of sharing about the visions regarding the harsh reality that the Pandemic had in Tarija. The Pandemic exposed many adverse circumstances in the social environment in countries around the world. Tarija was no exception, in southern Bolivia, the stories of women, children, and the elderly faced confinement, isolation and all the other conditions that the spread of the COVID-19 contagion demanded. This reality is recovered in the three approaches generated for the analysis: •  Forms of community and citizen communication in the Chaco region • Sociocultural transformations in Tarija during the Pandemic • Quarantine as confinement. Everyday violence and fear

Keywords : Communication; Culture; Violence; Pandemic; Daily Life.
