This work assembles some initial ideas of the doctoral project "Social representations and construction of identities in Jujuy's popular neighborhoods: analysis of the representations of the participative local practices and his relation with the municipal State in Jujuy's reference newspapers during the crisis of 2001. The analysis begins from a perspective that crosses and problematizes the overview of the State, the neighbors and the graphical local means. To fourteen years of the major crisis of the Argentina, is necessary to put in discussion some historical and political elements that have strongly formed the construction of the social representations in enclaves located as Jujuy's province. We will practice an analysis on the political and economic conditions of the city of San Salvador of Jujuy's province in the year 2001 across the perceptions of diverse actors. In this work, we will take as an object of the investigation the social representations constructed in the diary Pregón, one of the reference newspapers of local traffic. We think that the news of this way realizes of the alterations and changes that happened in Argentina and Jujuy, and this crisis was the result of a political, economic and institutional deterioration.
