This paperexplores the relationship between literary criticism by Hernán DíazArrieta (Alone), exercised in press as El Mercurio, La Nación and the Revista Zig-Zag, with the gender issue. In time, is a content analysis literary criticism Alone made the works of women writers Marta Brunet and Gabriela Mistral. He obtained as a result the survey to this critic made literature written by women.
