Abstract

ECHALAR MONTANO, Ericka. Visibility of the Human Rights of Children, Teenagers and Women in Journalism news coverage in the Valley and Tropics of Bolivia. Punto Cero [online]. 2012, vol.17, n.25, pp.9-16. ISSN 1815-0276.

This research made a media monitoring to determine if the journalistic work has respected the children, teenagers and women's rights. The monitoring covered 510 press notes from the valley and tropic media of Bolivia and made clear that the information treatment related to the children, teenagers and women's rights does not recognize the international conventions in this matter, because generally this population is made visible in the media in violence situations that could be classified within the yellow journalism.

Keywords : Human Rights; Journalism; News coverage; Childhood.
