The fire of Cromañón discotheque happened in Buenos Aires on December 2004 it can be considered as a "communication phenomenon", inscribed in the sphere of the social production meaning, because it has reproduced and/ or changed the meaning of representations of the last Argentinian Estate terrorism (1976-1983), their effects and/ or consequences for the construction of a happening which could not be catalogued as "genocide". This article comprises an interpretation of the past signs and establishes links with them through the meaning effects which are produced by press photographs, in the configuration of the happening, involved social agents, commemorative practices and symbols in the stage of request for Justice.
