Abstract

HERRMANN LIMA, Leticia Salem. The relatíons between "cast way" and "lost": The similarities between fílm and television languages. Punto Cero [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.20, pp.53-65. ISSN 1815-0276.

It is noticeable that film and televisión languages are becoming increasingly similar and that major productions that once were typical of films, now can be seen in some televisión programs. With the advent of digital TV the similarities will be even greater due to improvements in quality in televisión productions. The objective of this study is to compare the movie "Cast Away" and TV series "Lost", how they look alike regarding their script, montage, and camera angles. The basis of this theoretical analysis are the ideas of such authors as Jacques Aumont, Krintin Thompson and David Bordwell, who study the televisión and film languages and their evolution over the decades.

Keywords : cinema; televisión; language; communication.
