Abstract

AZEVEDO LUINDIA, L. E.. Boí Bumbá de Parintins (AM) y Çayré (Pará), (re) meanings: partíes, shows, media and tourism. Punto Cero [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.20, pp.27-34. ISSN 1815-0276.

This article aims to analyze the festival Boi Bumbá Parintins (Amazonas - Brazil) and another one called Qayré (Para - Brazil) as spaces of visibility of public and private policies. Through investments of both public policy and private companies in the parties, the funds are being managed to cater mainly to tourism and the media. The two festivais have financial and technical support to bring infrastructure and set up scenarios to get more visitors. These factors point to re-new meanings through the 'parties' shows the institutionalized and the transformation of the former owners in viewers.
