Criticism of the dissolution of the ideology in J. Habermas’s communication action theory. Punto Cero [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.19, pp. 91-97. ISSN 1815-0276.

Abstract Habermas, when systematically developed his theory of communicative action, also exposes his theory of modern society. In it he states that the increase in social rationalization modifies forms of understanding with legitimacy bases more differentiated and more transparent. Thus day-to-day communicative practice will affect the structural power of ideologies. I’ll discuss this interpretation of Habermas arguing how this hypothesis about ideology could be reverted by applying the method of reconstruction to his own theory.

Palavras-chave : modern society; ideology; legitimacy; social communication.
