Experiencing transformations that go beyond technology, reaching the scope of society, linguistics and even personal identity, cultural journalism faces new perspectives and challenges into the task of rewriting the symbolic goods from the realm of the new electronic media. As its most relevant manifestation, the study of blogs as a lexical-formal platform natural to the virtuality and fitted with the social capacity to instate new senses and uses, becomes essential. This paper proposes an interpretation of the essential assets of a new praxis for cultural journalism, from and on such platform. The revalorization of the journalistic text, recovering mediations and adopting a new intertextual paradigm in the linguistic usage, as elements of cultural journalism within virtuality, is also examined.
