This article discusses the relation between reality and fiction in Brazilians news broadcasting televisión, having  the Red Globo Jornal Nacional as the object of study.  The text´s objetive is to talk about the impact of  neoliberal politics in Brazil, starting off with  the sociologist Francisco de Oliveira´s perspective. Verifying, on the other hand, which boarding is adopted by the news around the same discussions.  With this purpose, the article recurred to researches about the National  Journal during Fernando  Enrique Cardoso´s  government, selecting  specific news from his first (1994-1998) and second govermment (1998-2002).
