The article exposes some theorical notes about the role that Social Communication Media plays in social conflict presentation and resolution. After informing on central aspects to this subject, such as the media schedule definition, the involved parties, their interests, strategies and news angles, it analyzes the role that they played during Carlos Mesa´s presidential term. It concludes with some thoughts that nay direct the media in conflict management.
