Summary The text presents the subject of University Massification, something that worries and interests the majority of university teachers and students. To do so, the author analyzes the concept of “massification” and the ways it is understood according to the place where it is occurring, she then studies the Bolivian case, analyzing the circumstances in which the phenomenon occurred and the many reasons for a social over- valuation of the possession of an academic diploma. She also analyzes the teacher’s reactions when confronted with this situation and the consequences it has on university efficiency and academic quality.
