It is commonly known that the experiences of communitarian communications have always preceded any attempts of theorizing. This study presents a brief systematization of one of those countless experiences in the continent, the Aymara communitarian radios of Bolivia. Basic knowledge sings like popular and democratic communications are tackled first, in order to approach to the concept of right to the information that allows us to reflect on the different forms of property and functioning of the mass media. With these theoretical background, the main body of the document is destined to the presentation of some results and reflects on how to work on democratizing communications, starting on approaching to the experience of thirty radio stations set up in the Andean region of Bolivia.
