During the last century the status of the Social Sciences has undergone a great number of transformations. One of these transformations was characterized by the necessity of interdisciplinary dialogue that has served to update not only discussion and debate but also the methodologies that try to come closer to the social processes. These experiences are evident both in the reconfiguration of the fields of study and also in the approaches taken to analyse the interactions among the disciplines. In this essay we seek to carry out an analysis of the interactions that have taken place between two specific disciplines: anthropology and mass media.
