This essay, based on a suitable documentary investigation poses the thesis that a critical use of mass media production, in general terms, and particularly, of information, favours the construction of communicative citizenship. This pivots on the full use of man's right to every aspect of information be it straight information, opinion and even propaganda as well as doing research on it and then reporting on this. For people have the right to make up their own minds, to express them in the open and to socially control fellow citizens.
