The purpose of this study is to determine the frequency of hyperprolactinemia with the presence of pituitary adenoma in our own social environment.Through the fluorimetric method (DELFI-PROLACTIN), a study was conducted in 252 samples with identification requests for prolactin, and a significant relationship of 63% was found between hyperprolactinemia and the presence of pituitary adenoma (presumptive diagnosis).
