Cardiovascular pathologies are a set of comorbidities that a large part of the patients who are going to undergo surgery have, and are associated with numerous perioperative complications and long-term death, so their diagnosis, recognition and management in the perioperative period are a challenge. challenge for the anesthesiologist. We present the case of a patient with heart failure, mitral stenosis, tricuspid regurgitation and pulmonary hypertension, who underwent a conventional cholecystectomy under general anesthesia and multimodal analgesia. A bibliographic review is carried out in order to show a general and concise description of the anesthetic management of patients with cardiac pathologies who undergo non-cardiac surgery.
