Abstract

MEDINA BARRIONUEVO, Rossio; MEDINA PEREZ, Luis; MAMANI HUANCA, Aldrin  and  CONDE LIA, Fabian Hanss. RECURRENT VULVAR PAGET DISEASE RESPONDING TO CARBOPLATIN-PACLITAXEL CHEMOTHERAPY. CASE REPORT AND LITERATURE REVIEW. Rev. Méd. La Paz [online]. 2021, vol.27, n.2, pp.52-57. ISSN 1726-8958.

Vulvar Paget’s disease is extremely rare, accounting for less than 1% of the vulvar neoplasia. Usually it has a chronic course and is highly recurrent. Surgery is the standard treatment; however, the disappointing results of surgical treatment and high morbidity, have led to seek alternative treatment including radiotherapy, sprays CO2 laser and chemotherapy among others. All with promising results, though there is a need for prospective studies to explore these approaches.

We report the case of a patient with vulvar Paget’s disease recurrent with very good response to systemic chemotherapy with carboplatin plus paclitaxel.

Keywords : vulvar Paget disease; multimodal treatment.
