The development of video - assisted surgery applied to the thoracic cavity, has dramatically revolutionized the approach of thoracic surgery in the last 30 years. Initially, the operation was carried out successfully using three or more incisions, later it was developed using two, and at present, in different parts of the world, it has been possible to eliminate the second incision to perform highly complex procedures using a single port, with good results. We describe the case report of a 30-year-old man operated on by a single-port approach for VATS lobectomy of the right lower lobe.
