Abstract
PENA, Abel and TELLERIA, Lillo. RIGHT-SIDED INTRATHORACIC HEPATIC CHORISTOMA: A CASE REPORT. Rev. Méd. La Paz [online]. 2019, vol.25, n.2, pp.54-57. ISSN 1726-8958.
We report a clinical case of right intrathoracic ectopic liver, in a 27 years old female patient, who consulted for moderate nonproductive cough and persistent chest pain. The clinical evaluation and the complementary studies carried out, did not allow to reach a correct diagnosis; but a surgical attitude was proposed that was accepted by the patient. A thoracotomy was performed by complete resection of right supradiaphragmatic tumor, whose anatomopathological study reported normal hepatic tissue with mild fatty infiltration. Abnormalities of liver position are infrequent and usually constitute an unexpected finding; Because of its potential for malignancy, its resection is fully indicated. The decision of surgical attitude originated satisfactory result and allows to share an intrathoracic entity of histologically normal liver tissue with abnormal location.
