Abstract

CRISPIN NINA, Deyssi  and  DURAN CALLE, Juan José. EFFICACY OFTHE CYANOACRYLATE IN THE CLOSING OF INJURIES OF PATIENTS INTERVENED BY MEANS OF SEGMENTARY CAESAREAN SECTION, IN THE HOSPITAL MUNICIPAL BOLIVIANO HOLANDES OVER THE COURSE OF SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER OF 2015. Rev. Méd. La Paz [online]. 2018, vol.24, n.2, pp.11-17. ISSN 1726-8958.

Introduction: For tissue synthesis there is a diversity of materials, the best known being suture yarns (absorbable and non absorbable); however there are other suture alternatives, such as tissue adhesives based on cyanoacrilate. Objective: Determining the efficacy of the cyanoacrylate in the closing of injuries of intervened patients by means of segmentary Caesarean section in the service of Gynecology and obstetrics of the Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés duringthestep 2015. Material and methods: Clinical trial simple, longitudinal, prospective blindman. They studied to 45 years of age 82 patients of 16, once 2015 were taken inside in the service of Gynecology and obstetrics of the Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés, over the course of the 1 one belonging to September to December 31 the year. They congregated in 2 groups: 34 patients in which the cyanoacrylate (case) and 48 patients were used in which came true the technique of intradermic suture with nylon 3-0 (control), stops at a later time appreciating the final passage of time of the surgical injury, reaction of the epidermis and postoperative complications in eachgroup. Results: As to the final passage of time of the surgical injury: 7 days with cyanoacrylate (61,77 %) and 7 days with nylon (77,08 %); Presence of hypertrophiccicatrix: 0,00 % with cyanoacrylate and 4,17% with nylon; And complications: 26,47 % with cyanoacrylate and 0,00 %with nylon. Conclusions: The cyanoacrylate is not more efficacious than the conventional suture in the closing of injuries of patients audited by means of segmentary caesarean section.
