Hemifacial (EHF) spasm is a chronic movement disorder characterized by uncontrolled, intermittent and spasmodic contraction of the muscles or tone of one of the hemicaras. The application of botulinum toxin through chemodenervation produces temporary muscular paralysis and reversibly. a clinical case involving EHF and the therapeutic application of botulinum toxin type "A" with good results is presented.
