QUISPE LIMACHI, Hector Ivan; NOVA PINEDO, Máximo Lucio  y  MAMANI SANCHEZ, Beatriz. Application of entomopathogenic fungi and tecsil product for the control of the cocoa bug (Monaloniun dissimulatum Dist.) in Alto Beni, La Paz. RevActaNova. [online]. 2021, vol.10, n.1, pp.3-21. ISSN 1683-0789.

The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of the application of two strains of Beauveria bassiana from Probioma and the Siempre Association, a Tecsil product and a control (water) for the control of bed bugs in the nymph and adult stage of hybrid cocoa in four Communities in the Municipality of Alto Beni. The products to be used previously were dis solved at a concentration of 1 x 1012 conidia ml-1, to which an emulsifying adjuvant was added, each treatment was sprayed 10 mi at the beginning of the trial. In each Community there were 16 trees, to 4 of them the controllers were applied: 2 of Beauveria bassiana, 1 of Tecsil and a control (water), and at the same time to half, that is to say to 2 trees, a fruit was encapsulated with 15 nymphs, and the other two trees, in two fruits it was incorporated with 15 adult bugs. Adult bed bugs had a higher mortality rate of 37% in relation to 25% of nymphs at 8 days of evaluation. With the application of the controllers, the two strains of Beauveria bassiana showed greater effectiveness in the percentage of mortality, of which Beauveria bassiana from Probiome was more effective than the Always Association, causing 62% and 37% of bed bug mortality. respectively. However, with the application of water (control) and the Tecsil product they caused a low mortality rate of 9 to 16% respectively. The interaction between stage and the effect of the Beauveria bassiana product in the mean lethal time, that of Probioma was in the record of 5 and 7 days to cause death in 50% of the bed bugs in the adult and nymph stages. However, the product of the Always Association, the time required was 8 and 14 days for adults and nymph to cause 50% mortality.
