Abstract

The presence of lipids in the composition of wastewater can alter the proper functioning of the systems arranged for treatment In this sense, the present work evaluates the efficiency of 3 lipase producing bacteria, in reducing the fat / oil concentrations present in the wastewater of the oil industry from which they were isolated. Therefore, the conditions that allow the best development of the bacterial population (antagonism, respiration, pH and pH regulating salts) were studied, in addition to studying the incidence of different concentrations (V / V) of suspensions of the bacteria studied (1 %, 2.5% and 5%), together with different concentrations of calcium chloride (Cl2Ca) (0%, 1%, 2.5% and 5%). It was found that the best results (34 mg / L - own follow-up; 18.5 mg / L - test by third party) are the product of the aggregate of the bacterial inoculum of concentration 2.5% (V / V) in conjunction with C12Ca at 5 % (V / V), formed by a combination between the bacteria suspected of being Pseudomona Sp. And Corynebacterium Sp., Added to a sample of fatty effluent with pH 7 regulated with sodium carbonate, in 15 days of treatment with assisted aeration . It is concluded that the Bacteria studied show a promising potential for its implementation in wastewater treatment systems from the oil industry.
