VARGAS MENESES, Rodrigo  and  LUJAN PEREZ, Marcos. Characterization Study and Proposals Revaluation of Construction and Demolition Waste in the City of Cochabamba. RevActaNova. [online]. 2016, vol.7, n.4, pp.399-429. ISSN 1683-0789.

This study focuses on the evaluation of growth opportunities of construction and demolition waste generated in the city of Cochabamba, as fundamental to the proposed management system element such waste. In the case of demolition waste a rate of generation of 0.929 Mg/m2 was obtained, present a volumetric composition: concrete by 53%, bricks-tiles and other ceramic 31%, and the remaining 16% other; waste demolition of a house with adobe walls have a generation rate of 1.354 Mg/m2 has a volumetric composition of adobe 65% sand and 18% and the remaining 17% in others. Once known the characteristic composition of the waste, generating a projection thereof for a period of fifteen (15) years was made, having calculated the amount of waste diverted for reuse the figure reaches a value of 7,304,137.3 m3 to be managed and requires an area of about 4.87 ha for landfilling.
