Abstract

ANGULO REYES, Rosalva. Diagnostic study of the ecotoxicity of Tributaries of the River Guadalquivir, in the area between Las Tipas and El Angosto in San Luis, Province Cercado - Tarija. RevActaNova. [online]. 2015, vol.7, n.1, pp.28-46. ISSN 1683-0789.

This research involved the section of the Guadalquivir River between Las Tipas in Aranjuez and El Angosto de San Luis in El Temporal, with the purpose of providing reliable information on water quality through ecotoxicological parameters in the river and some of its tributaries that was not available so far. The current ecotoxicity level was diagnosed in the tributaries of the Guadalquivir river through standardized acute toxicity bioassays using seeds of Lactuca sativa (White Boston lettuce variety) and bulbs of Allium cepa (yellow onion) as bioindicators. From this diagnosis and the assessment of the toxicity level it can be said that phytotoxicity is present in some of the studied water bodies, like the cases of Sossa, Sagredo y Toro streams. The toxicity levels rank from moderate to very toxic and same toxic reverse results, considering the calculated value of the Toxic Units from the mean inhibition concentration IC50
