Since its creation in 2007, the Cryptogams Herbarium of the Bolivian Catholic University “Saint Paul” (HCUCB) has participated in the description of new species for science from Bolivia and other countries from around the world. A list of the 27new diatom taxa described in collaboration with several foreign specialists is presented herein together with details of the geographical coverage of this type of taxonomic studies and data on the collections where the type materials are deposited.
