This article was created on the initiative of implementing a Business Intelligence project within the San Pablo Bolivian Catholic University in Cochabamba Regional Academic Unit (UCBSP Cbba). To this end, it was decided to start such an ambitious project, with the evaluation of the quality of the data and information is there in the organization. Reviewing the literature, it was evident that several maturity models that identify the degree of evolution that have these two components. In this sense, we present four data models and BI maturity, two of them are public domain knowledge and the other two are proposals that were born from the combination of two or more models. Those were applied, on the basis of the latter two, questionnaires that defined the degree of maturity of data and information in Cbba UCBSP. Once identified this level of maturity, is to propose strategies for policy development and implementation within the UCBSP Cbba to reach higher levels and power, in the same way, starting a BI project with Mays warranty.
