Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) during pregnancy is not common and there is little information about it. POP can have negative effects on the pregnant woman and the product. There is no standardized guideline on the management of prolapse in pregnant patients, so treatment must be individualized. The vaginal pessary is used as a non-surgical treatment with the objective of maximally prolonging the gestational period, reducing prolapse and symptoms in the patient.
The experience of using a “ring” type vaginal pessary was successful in our case.
