The first qualitative stage corresponds to the validity of content, which included Phase I and part of Phase II of the project, where the composition of the instrument was established determining the number of items. The second stage (Phase III and IV) was entirely quantitative consisting of determining the construct validity, reliability, stability, criterion and performance of the instrument. It consists of 20 items and 4 domains or dimensions, has 5 items assigned to each domain considering the entire process of childbirth according to the local customs of Patacamaya, its final value is the existence or not of cultural adequacy in childbirth care. The reliability of the instrument - Total item was 93% (Cronbach'salpha = 0.933), the total domain reliability was 91% (Cronbach'salpha = 0.913), the total domain reliability rotated was also acceptable (Cronbach 'salpha = 0.904), Acceptable stability (Cohen Kappa index 0.50 p value = 0.008), agreement between operators; With a sensitivity of 71.4% and a specificity of 78.6%. CONCLUSIONS The instrument has a high reliability with a figure close to the unit with an acceptable stability.
