The purpose of this work was the implementation of the methodological proposal of the Red List of Ecosystems of the IUCN, to analyze and evaluate the status and vulnerabilities of the Chiquitanian hills' ecosystems. In Santa Cruz department, Bolivia, we evaluated 20 ecosystems, between terrestrial and aquatic, through an analysis of four criteria and their thresholds of severity, to determine if it belongs to the IUCN collapse risk categories. In criterion A or the reduction of the distribution, the change rates were identified in past periods (before 1570, later 1986), present (2016) and future (2046). In criterion B or restricted geographic distribution, the extent of occurrence (EOO) and the area of occupancy (AOO) in 2016 were analyzed. In criterion C or environmental degradation, erosion risk for the periods 1986-2016 and 2016-2046 was evaluated. In criterion C or alteration of biotic processes and interactions, the levels of fragmentation (1986-2046), the degradation by burning (1986-2016) and the loss of the habitat (1986-2046) of the Jaguar (Panthera onca) were calculated. The application of this analytical framework allowed to identify the existence of six ecosystems in the category of Critically Endangered, 11 Endangered, two Vulnerable, and one Least Concern.
