Abstract

The reproductive cycle of Akodon boliviensis and Phyllotis darwini is studied in a locality south of La Paz city. Different anatomic characteristics related with the reproduction are analyzed, the histology is used to discriminate juvenile and adult individuals, and seasonal reproductive patterns are established between october and april. The relationship between the reproductive season and, day length, temperature and precipitation are discuted.
