Abstract

SANJINES, D.  and  GHEZZI, F.. A minimal model for electrical and gravitational interactions in a confined system of charged spheres. Revista Boliviana de Física [online]. 2018, vol.33, n.33, pp.13-20. ISSN 1562-3823.

ABSTRACT We have developed an experimental set up and a numerical simulation to calculate the Coulomb interaction between confined charged particles. In this work we have elaborated a validation system to establish the interactions among these particles and the confining boundary. By implementing the relaxation method for the Laplace equation using a 3D grid, we can simulate the equilibrium configuration for a system with few particles. Also, a com-parison is made with an experimental set up with many particles. Our simulation yields a reasonable agreement with the assumption of a Coulombian interaction.

Keywords : Boundary value problems in electrostatic; Laplace equation; Coulomb's law - Model simulation.
