ABSTRACT Data obtained from a Storm Tracker PCI (Boltek), located in the community of Patacamaya, 17.2608° South Latitude, 67.9481° West longitude and at 3794 meters above sea level, between the years 2012-2015 were rst analysed to identify the phenomenology of atmospheric electrical discharges in the Bolivia sky. The territory under observat covers areas in the following Departments of the Plurinational State of Bolivia: more than half of La Paz, West Beni, West Santa Cruz, Northwest Chuquisaca, Oruro, Cochabamba and the Northern part of Potosí. A rst classicat of the atmospheric electrical discharge data (AED) is performed in order to obtain: the regular and irregular behavior of several discharge types. Based on the steady regular behavior of AED, the annual performance of AED is explored. It is found that the areas where lightning regularly strikes are places characterised by the presence of wet cloud masses. The posit of the cloud masses is due to two fundamental astronomical movements, the movement of the Earth on the ecliptic and the rotatal movement of the Earth on its axis, as well as, morphological factors of the Earth's surface (ridges). These dene the temporal and spatial behavior of wet masses, the wind direct and their stagnat. The characteristic behavior observed is directly related to natural global climate changes such as the climate phenomenon known as "El Nino", "La Niña" and monsoon climate behavior.
