The present article has the purpose to present the recommendations given by the Global Alliance of Acne Treatment, in 2003; since that year these recommendations have been taken in care as rules in the treatment of patients with acne, considering its ages and types and based in the knowledge of the physiopathology of this disease. Also, in the last part, it'll be mentioned the new drugs that have been developed in the recent years and its possible impact that they will have in the next global alliance.
