Abstract

Intestinal cystic pneumatosis is a uncommon pathology in children that it is characterized by the presence of multiple cysts of gas that can cause important pneumoperitoneo due to rupture of the cysts or intestinal perforation. It is one of the causes of benign pneumoperitoneo. A case is described of a patient 13 year old of age with intestinal pneumatosis associated to intestinal mal rotation; we carried out an exploratory laparotomy.
