Traumatic diaphragmatic hernia is an infrequent pathology in children and in general it is associated with other lesions. We described this case because of its early evolution and it was an isolated diaphragmatic lesion. The close follow-up of the patient was important for early diagnosis and a laparotomy and suture of the hernia without complications were the treatment of choice.
