We described an 11 - year - old girl admitted to the Hospital del Niño “Dr. Ovidio Aliaga Uria”, La Paz, because of an abdominal mass six months old, associated with malnutrition, anemia and vomiting. The patient ingested hair for several months prior to the admission. We performed a gastrostomy removing a “mass full of hair”. She tolerate the procedure with out problem and was discharged in good general condition.
