In 2020, SARS COV2 infection is declared a pandemic. Of the total number of infected people, a low incidence could be observed in the pediatric age group and among those infected, children develop the disease asymptomatically. Those who present symptoms do so in a mild form, with the disease being serious in this age range and being uncommon. Within the neonatal population, there are many studies on perinatal or vertical contagion, but not on the disease contracted late through contact with infected people. Due to the aforementioned, it was decided to present a clinical case about an advanced preterm infant who acquired the infection postnatally and presented serious symptoms.
