This medication has been associated with very few serious side effects. Currently, Ondansetron has been linked to cases of ventricular arrhythmias and sudden death. This case is of a 67-year-old male patient treated in the emergency department for a chronic hypokalemia, treated with fluid therapy, ranitidine, amlodipine, and ondansetron in a time of 20 minutes, after the administration of the latter, he presented with sudden death.
